Dear Friends of Helping Hands,
During this difficult time of social distancing, the Rockland Interfaith Breakfast Program has come up with a creative solution to serve the Spring Valley community, while ensuring that everyone is safe. Instead of a sit-down community breakfast, we have modified our menu so that we can provide our guests with a hot, bagged breakfast and the usual sandwich lunch to take away with them.
Whenever possible, we are providing personal protective gear and personal need items.
We understand that many volunteers are wary of venturing out, but there are numerous ways you can help:
Donate individual water bottles – which we provide with both breakfast and lunch.
Donate pastries, dessert items, and/or loaves of bread.
Work in the kitchen with a small crew of volunteers (well under 10!) to put meals together.
Donations can be brought to the back door of the Church of the Nazzarene, 11 E. Church Street, Spring Valley, between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.
Wishing you and your family good health,
Chris and Bert Hughes
